As 2015 comes to a close, most of us find ourselves reflecting on our own personal and professional highlights of the year. At Simply ILM, we’ve been focusing our energy on preparing for 2016, with a few major events already lined up and several more in the planning phases.
This year was our busiest yet. We’ve had a number of highly successful partnerships with our clients over the last few years, and, in 2015, Partner and Director of ILM Services Deanna Mollett shared those stories of success at several major speaking events and webinars. Here are a few highlights:
July 17: In a session titled “The Total Package: Completing Data Governance with ILM,” at the ASUG Wisconsin Chapter Meeting, we addressed the shared objectives between Master Data Management (MDM) and Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) and how to approach the two processes in a way that promotes a more comprehensive data governance strategy.
October 1: The success of our client Avid Technology was the topic of discussion at our “How Avid Innovates SAP Post-Production with Total Volume Management” webinar. With the development and deployment of a strategic data governance plan, we’ve helped them reach key goals, such as improving key transaction runtimes by 40% on average and minimizing annual refresh cycles.
October 21: It should come as no surprise that we participated in SAP’s largest annual event–SAP TechEd Las Vegas, co-presenting a session alongside client George Daniell, IT-ERP business solutions manager at Florida Power & Light. At the “Integrating Data Volume Management and Information Lifecycle Management” session, we educated attendees on key facts related to aligning buy-in for DVM and ILM, what to know prior to implementing SAP ILM, and how to achieve sustainability with a long-term maintenance plan. (You can read more about our presentation in this blog post.)
November 5: Once again, Deanna collaborated with one of our clients to discuss the positive influence data volume management has had on their business. At the ASUG Chicago & Wisconsin Chapters meeting last month, Deanna was joined by Toni Walker, senior business analyst of financials at Ryerson, Inc., for this informational seminar titled “Ryerson’s SAP Data Volume and Retention Management Journey.”
Simply ILM will continue to make appearances and educate business leaders about the importance of data management in 2016. You can look for us at both the ASUG Chicago Chapter Meeting in April, and again at the SAPPHIRE NOW + ASUG Annual Conference in Florida the following month. It’s safe to say that 2016 will be a year of further growth at Simply ILM!
