Simply ILM Partner and Director of ILM Services Deanna Mollett co-presented with our client Toni Walker, senior business analyst of financials at Ryerson, Inc. In their session titled, “A Decade of Data Management at Ryerson,” they discussed the key role data management plays in system performance and overall health.
Ryerson’s comprehensive data retention and governance strategy has enabled them to maintain a healthy system for 10 years. During this informative presentation, they shared insights on how the steps taken after their 2004 SAP rollout have led to consistently optimized system health a decade later. Early forecasting equipped them to prepare for ever-increasing data volumes as the organization grew, prompting them to put significant effort into proactive planning and archiving implementation. The resulting effects of this ongoing commitment clearly demonstrate the value of thoughtful, strategic long-term data management.
